About Us

Like a tree that provides a home for the birds of the air, The Treetop Clubhouse is an organization that empowers individuals to be the best version of themselves, no matter what stage of life they are in.

Our Story

The Treetop Clubhouse was launched at the beginning of 2021. The vision for the nonprofit is to provide resources, support, and curriculum to at-risk teens, students, guardians, educators, and anyone interested in personal development and growth. Based in Eastern methods of teaching, the content provided throughout the site and curriculum is developed in conjunction with specialists in health, development, education, and more.

The Power of Personal Growth

Self-growth can often involve an increase in personal resources, including self-esteem and coping skills, and changes in life and philosophies, such as deeper spirituality, redefined priorities, and a greater appreciation of life (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 2004; Taubman-Ben-Ari & Weintroub, 2008). For example, clinicians working with trauma survivors reported self-growth that involved a change in their personality, such as greater sensitivity, compassion, insight, tolerance, and empathy, and deepened their appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit (Arnold et al., 2005).

The Power of Youth Development

The positive outcomes to youth empowerment programs and resources are improved social skills, improved behavior, increased academic achievement, increased self-esteem, and increased self-efficacy. Research definitively shows that youth who have sufficient support from their families, schools, and communities develop the assets necessary to do well in life.
